The Startup Supporter Campaign

New creations are founded on meaningful partnerships. In building a sustainable model to support the work of musical theatre writers, we also need to build a strong network of advocates and facilitators. With our Startup Supporter Campaign, we are providing an opportunity for the theatre community to engage with and explore the work they are so vital in supporting. Through this partnership model we believe we can make a significant contribution to the realization of artist-driven musical theater work of the highest caliber.

PLEASE NOTE: Our tier benefits apply to the 2025 and 2026 calendar years. This period will include THREE Phase 1 presentations and ONE Phase 2 presentation.

Learn Ways To Give
Friend $50 – $499

A great way to start contributing to the creation of high caliber new work and connect with the people making it happen. If 800 theatre supporters contributed at this level, we would cover the entire cost of a Phase 1 Project for a new work. $50 can mean a lot.

Next Gen $500 – $999

Focused on providing access to our programs for EMERGING THEATRE CREATORS, our Next Gen Supporters are aspiring producers UNDER THE AGE OF 35 who have not already produced at the highest levels*.

TIER 1 $1,000 – $2,499

An opportunity for theatre professionals to support the development of high caliber new work and see its progress at the earliest stages.

An opportunity for producing and presenting teams / organizations to support the development of high caliber new work, see its progress and gain access to the writers and practitioners responsible.

Representing 12.5% of the cost of a Phase 1 process, this tier of support gives us an incredible boost in reaching our objective while also giving producers and presenters access to high caliber new work, see its progress and gain access to the writers and practitioners responsible.

TIER 4 $10,000 – $14,999

A front row seat to see how the musical theatre sausage gets made. Designed for the avid theatre supporter who wants to contribute to the creation of new work as well as see how the process works.

TIER 5 $15,000 +

See how diverse the process can be. Tier 5 is designed for the avid theatre supporter who wants to contribute to the creation of new work, see how the process works, and learn how varied it can be from one team to the next.

  • FULL ACCESS, as an observer, to ALL Phase 1 processes

* We define “At The Highest Levels” to mean a theatre maker who has been a lead producer On or Off-Broadway (or at the equivalent level in another market) or has held an Artistic Director role at a non-profit theatre.

** MMTL Meetup is a quarterly industry informal gathering which we hope to serve as a networking opportunity for the new musical theatre community.
